From 5 Nov, 2018 to 8 Nov, 2018, the HKBU Sino-Forest Applied Research Centre for Pearl River Delta Environment (ARCPE) and Hong Kong Recycling Chamber of Commerce organized a four-day recycling study tour in China (Taizhou and Wenzhou). The purpose of this tour is to deepen the understanding of the current state and development of recycling operations and policies; broaden the horizons and explore new directions for innovations. In addition, this will promote knowledge exchange and communication in recycling technology, development and operation between mainland China and Hong Kong.

The Centre had also organized the project "Upgrading selected recycling shops for demonstration purpose" and worked with five selected recyclers from late 2018 to early 2019. The project aims to upgrade the overall process in the stores, boost efficiency and increase the recyclables' quality. The five shops had been renovated under the supervision of the Centre and new equipment had been installed.

On 8 March 2019, a knowledge sharing session was successfully held. Different stakeholders had shared their views and experience during the workshop.
