BioWCHK 2016 – Asia-Pacific International Conference on Biotechnology for Waste Conversion
06 - 08 December 2016
ARCPE, Hong Kong Baptist University
Hong Kong SAR, P.R. China
Sino-Forest Applied Research Centre for Pearl River Delta Environment (ARCPE) hosted a “Asia-Pacific International Conference on Biotechnology for Waste Conversion” between 06 and 08 December 2016 at Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. After three successful International Conference organizations by ARCPE in the past (ICSWHK-2011, 2013 and 2015), BioWCHK 2016 yet another but very focused conference that aims to provide participants the knowledge of Waste Bio-refinery for Biofules and Bioproducts using New Biotechnology Approaches. The conference programme is therefore structured and grouped into different themes as below
- Waste Sources and Recycling Trends in Asia-pacific Region
- Biotechnology and molecular-engineering for Waste conversion
- Bio-fuels and bio-products from waste resources
- Greenhouse gas emissions and mitigations in waste management sectors
- Integrated biotechnologies for novel product developments
- Emerging/persistent organic pollutants and the fate
- Bio-nano technology and applications in waste recycling
- Bio-electro and bio-magnetic technology for energy or fuels
- Bio-instrumentations in waste conversion and recycling
- Industrial bio-engineering and process scale-up
The bioWCHK-2016 undoubtedly provided an unique opportunity to gain prominent vision and explore business opportunities among various stakeholders in the area for Biorefinery and Bioproduct developments from Waste Conversions. Also, the international platform provided the cutting edge research ideas from eminent scientists around the globe.
